Hey friends, I am so excited about the new blog campaign I'm launching for my next book.  As I promised, I'll be doing lots of promotional events leading to the release of "His Mistress or God's Daughter".
In the next few days, I'll be introducing all my readers to Sappora Ink better known as Sister Ink.  She's a blog talk show host giving real folks the real truth and she's answering questions from someone near you.
I am so excited about this venture and it is my prayer that you check my blog out every week beginning this week on Thursday night, December 31st, and every Thursday night afterwards.
Thank you for being so supportive!  Also check out UrbanFaithMagazine, you'll find one of my blogs there.  Be Blessed and Be Excited about the New Year that's right around the corner!

I got the greatest Christmas gift on yesterday...a call from one of my closest friend from Japan....MRS. SHELIA OLIVER....who happens to be my middle daughters name sake...KASHEILA.  I was so overwhelmed by the call until it topped anything anyone could have ever given me.
Now it's on to a new day that just happens to be my birthday! I understand clearer than ever that i was blessed to see this day not for the sake of just being alive; but for another opportunity to be a blessing for someone else.  It is my prayer that this year GOD points me in all the directions that lead to a purposed filled life.  I don't just want to be here...I desire to fulfill, fully operate in my calling, and love like I've never loved before.
Keep me in your prayers and always remember that it's the things we do for Christ that will matter the most!  BE BLESSED

I am so excited that Christmas is only a few days away.  I am so eagered to see the faces of my nieces and nephews as they tell all they've received.  Of course for my own children, Christmas does't mean the same.  They've come into the perfected knowledge that it's Jesus' birthday and not theirs.  For this, I am ever so grateful.  Nevertheless, I still have the distinc opportunity to show them that giving is one of the greatest attributes of life.
It's never about what you give but rather about what spirit you give it in.  The bible does say that "God loves a cheerful giver."   I understand it to mean anything that you give, especially, concerning your financial seeds towards ministry.  Remember that the same way and weight of your giving, will be the determining factor of what you get back.
The greatest gift that has ever been given to me is the gift of Salvation!  However, the second gift that I cherish just as dear is the Spirit of a Giver.  It's this spirit that makes me feel inadequate when I don't give.  If I had more, I'd give more, but such as I have, I never neglect to share.  I understand that I was born to give and giving is as much a part of me as the children God gave to me.  The Spirit of a Giver is one that ushers you into perfect worship...." because the heart of a worshipper is one that continuously give God praise!"
Find someone who does't understand the joy in giving and help them to understand by teaching them of the ultimate gift and the giver.  It's that gift that trumps all and no matter how much money you spend...you'll never out do the gift that God gave when He gave His Son.
Merry Christmas and I give to each and everyone of you my love.  Be Blessed!

Another Blessing 12/21/2009

On last Wednesday my mother was rushed by my father to the hospital.  While at bible study she began to feel some drastic chest pains.  My mother thought she was just getting a little excited because of the Word; so she sat there.  Then the pain begin to go down her arm which alarmed her.  Needless to say, she had an artery that was 95% closed.  Someone may be worndering why I've chosen to tell the world and here's the reason.....
1.  God is good.  There is no searching of His ways and He honors those that obey Him.  Had it not been for the Lord, my family and I would have experienced our worst Christmas this year!  He spared my mother's life and for this, I am truly grateful.
2.  Smoking is not good.  My mother is an avid cigarette smoker.  We reminded her constantly while in the hospital that her body was God's temple.  Ask yourself a question...is Jesus or was Jesus a smoker?  In our quest to become like Christ we must honor our earthly vessels.  Too much of anything is too much!  Love life more than your habits.
3.  Life is good.  When will you realize that no matter how much pain we go through, our bad days don't out weigh our good days.  Love life enough to understand that it is not promised.  Then love life enough to change your life for what matters the most...eternal life.  When we understand that life is a gift, we won't throw it in the closet.  I said this because some of us treat our lives like clothes.  When clothes are new we hang them up and cherish them but as soon as we wear them, we throw them on the back of the chair in our rooms or in a basket in the closet like dirty rags.  We treat our lives the same way.  When things are going great we love life, but as soon as trouble comes, we resort to dirty things and fill our vessels with dirty things.  Clean up and clear out...!
Get rid of all the clutter or damaging things in your life.  So much awaits you when you decide to have abundantly life.  I am blessed to have my mother and I wonder who's blessed to have you in their lives.  Love, Live, and Laugh!  Be Blessed

Count Down! 12/14/2009

It is so amazing how fast this year went.  We only have eleven days until Christmas and twelve before my ....th birthday!  Although I am so excited, my heart is heavy.  Of course Evangel Christian Academy won and we are the state Champs....my son DJ is so excited to be getting a State Championship ring like his big sister Raiyawna. Nevertheless a teenager, who was with a married guy, was shot by him.  I can't stress enough how married people come with baggage that single women just don't need.
It's been a slow journey with publishing "His Mistress or God's Daughter" but everytime I see an incident in the news....I hurt bad.  Just maybe if she would have read this book.  So I am asking all my friends to prepare to buy this book for some  single women.  I am putting my best foot forward to release this book at the beginning of the new year.  Life is too short to lose it behind lust!  And this book is just that, a warfare  against the spirit of lust.  Be Blessed.

As you prepare for the Christmas Holiday I just wanted to tell you that "it" will be alright.  Your "it" may be the fact that you've lost your job and you don't have the money to buy your kids the things they want.  It could even be that you and your spouse have divorced and you're winging it all by yourself.  Your it could be a number of things but regardless to what your "it" is, "it" will be okay.
I'll never forget my first Christmas as a singled divorce parent.  I was already struggling to take care of the bills and fighting a war within concerning what God had called me to do.  I recieved a call from a guy that I had dated thinking that he was ready to change because he invited me on a trip.  Needless to say, this trip cost me four days in jail.  All because he promised to buy my kids the things they needed for Christmas.  Well, when I got out of jail, I came out knowing that I had to do what God had called me to do.  I also recieved revelational knowledge that Christmas was a time to celebrate a risen Savior's birth by sharing.  Not just gift or things, but knowledge of a Savior who is coming back again. So when I made it to my children I told them that because it's Jesus birthday and not theirs, we would give Him a gift.
My oldest stood and said, "That's great mom, I give Jesus my life", which was followed by and me too from my middle daughter.  And my baby boy said, "Mommy, we know you don't have money but that's okay, I give Jesus my love."  My heart almost melted.  I went to the beauty shop and worked hard for the next couple of days.  My sister and I went shopping on Christmas Eve.  Needless to say, the stores were almost bare.  I was able to get my children one gift a piece and one to give to someone else.  This was the beginning of something huge for my children and I didn't even know it.  God was changing the way we viewed Christmas and the way we viewed others.
You wouldn't imagine the pride they had when they handed a gift to someone else.  They felt like they were doing God's work and I felt like God had done it again.  See, when we take things into our own hands, our "it" never gets worked out.  When we put our "it" in God's hands, not only does He work "it" out, He changes your life in the process.  So If I can say just one sentence to you this holiday, it will most definitely be... "Give your "it" to God and let Him handle "it".  Expect God to do "it".  Have faith that He will do "it".  God knows what you are going through and He cares for you.  Stop focusing on the stuff you've lost and your circumstances and get ready to move forward.  Obey God and watch Him work all of your "its" out.  Be Blessed
