Meet Destiny Barnes, the grand-daughter of Pastor Louis and Lora Barnes (the founders of Faith Temple Cathedral), born to their only daughter who served in the U.S. Military and knew Destiny would be better off raised by her parents.
Pastor Louis Barnes died and Lora Barnes wanted to make sure that not only would Destiny own Faith Temple Cathedral, but that she would one day become the First Lady of Faith Temple Cathedral. So, she put a plan into place that require Destiny to make some decisions that could very well altar her life. Destiny grew up having everything she ever wanted and the one thing she lacked (a sibling) was solved when she connected with two other girls, Stephanie & Sheila, who had the same thing in common (no siblings). These three young women formed a bond that carried them all the way to college and through the death of Destiny's grandparents. Now they must get through Destiny's fear of making the most important decision of her life......becoming the wife of Pastor Roderick Prince Strong; as well as deal with some challenging circumstances of their very own. It has been said, "the decisions you make have the ability to channel and change your life", and Destiny's Decision proves this statement correct. Get ready for a ride of a lifetime when you meet Destiny Barnes in Destiny's Decision coming February 14th! |
Synopsis
Destiny couldn't be happier. She owns her very own Design Firm and now due in part to the death of her grandparents, she owns Faith Temple Cathedral, the church founded and built by her grandparents. Sounds like a great responsibility for a young woman, but Destiny knows first-hand how much this church meant to her grand-parents and has vowed to God to run His business (the church),better than she runs her own.
There was really nothing lacking from her life, and the only thing that was- if she measured her life by the lives of her two best friends turned sisters (Sheila and Stephanie), was a husband. Nevertheless, Destiny was certain that a husband was the last thing she wanted or needed. How could she, the child of a preacher's child who left her baby with her parents and joined the military, ever make a commitment? Her mother's inability to commit to her, caused her the pain of feeling she was not fit to make commitments as well.
Little did she know Lora Barnes had already set the wheels in motion. Knowing all too well why Destiny never had plans to marry, she made sure that after her death-Faith Temple Cathedral would be blessed with the most handsome, available bachelor preaching the Gospel; Pastor Roderick Prince Strong.
Destiny truly underestimated the power of a praying grandmother and that with God all things are possible. This underestimation led her to doubting what she was able to do and be through the Power of God and just when she thought she had her life mapped out, God changed the direction and course to add mother and wife.
