A Place Where Danyelle shares her heart and mind.
Have you ever had an alarming thought to come to your mind and as soon as the thought came, you felt the strongest urge to pray? Who gets the urge to pray? This normally happens to God's children who understand that He adores their communication and those who believe they can't do anything without Him. And believe me, the devil those not urge you to pray. If in your spirit there is a deep overwhelming feeling that you need to pray...PRAY!
At first, I wasn't going to share this but then I thought about it. Just what if someone is feeling this urge but neglects it. What if I would have neglected the urging? Only God knows but what I do know is that obedience to the Spirit in whichever way He directs you is not only beneficial for you, but imperative.
On last evening my daughter Mooney played ball at Stephen F. Austin, a college in the town of Nacogdoches, Texas. Now after the game we were on our way home. We decided to go another route because the route we'd taken to come had seemed long and it was easier just to take highway 87 North into Logansport, La. I had my niece and three nephews all under the age of eleven. When they got in the car, they thought it strange that I made them get buckled in while in the back seat...which by way is a law now in Louisiana. As soon after they ate, they were all sleep and I looked back. Then the thought came to mind, we have to get home safely because I have precious cargo. At that moment we'd just past a sign that read Joaquin 7miles, Logansport 10miles. I prayed out-loud, "Lord, I plead your blood over this vehicle and over all of us in it and please dispatch our angels around this car to get us to our homes safely." Just maybe three minutes after I prayed, (this road is really dark) out of no where there was something in the street. Although our front tire grazed the object, my husband was able to swirle to miss the buck of it.
I instantly started screaming, "Thank you Jesus!" See, prayer is not for God, it's for us. I then picked up the phone to call my children's father, who was heading in the same direction, to warn him and his family. Then I called 911 so that a sheriff could come to remove the object. I saw my prayer take affect right before my eyes. My spirit man who adores the God I serve, connected with my soul, and my soul instructed my mouth to pray! Isn't it so awesome how our spirit man ushers us into prayer just when we need it the most. Those angels made sure no on-coming traffic was coming and that our car didn't turn over. They also made it so those babies never knew what happened. They never moved and this was so amazing to me. God never ceases to amaze me! So friends when your spirit ushers you to pray...Just Pray! Be Blessed!
