Have you ever wondered how thoughts enter your mind that you know are wrong, and on the ordinarily, you wouldn’t have even approved of your mind going there? Have you ever had to stop in the midst of your thoughts and say, “Lord, please take this thought from my mind, because it needs to be rebuke!”? Oftentimes, these are the seeds planted in the corners of your mind by the enemy and if you don’t quickly try to destroy them, they will fester and become a part of your everyday thought process. That’s why it is so important to watch out for those seeds.
You have the distinct opportunity to destroy a seed that has been planted in your mind by the enemy. This is done simply by, discarding a seed at the first realization that it has been planted. For example: You saw a handsome, fine, wealthy looking man at the grocery store, and as soon as you turned away from him, the thought occurred of how nice it would be wrapped up in his bed with him inside of you. Through the gateway of your eyes, the enemy has now planted a seed of lust. Instead of you bringing your soul into agreement with the thought, you must rebuke it like this: Lord you told me to think of the things that are pure and that thought was not pure and I know it was not of you. I rebuke that thought, and I pray that you uproot that seed that the enemy has tried to plant in my mind through my eyes. In Jesus name. As you saw in the example, the seed could have settled into that spot in your mind and every fine man you see could become your bed partner . Uncontrolled thoughts become actions, when you allow the thoughts to take root and grow. Eventually, Satan is going to present you with the opportunity to take the thought farther thus causing you to sin. Or you can rebuke the thought by telling your carnal man that you will not be carnally minded, or entertain unmoral thoughts and the seed in hewn down. So many unmoral things occur when the mind of the person who commits the act has allowed seeds to grow and fester. That’s why it is so important that we let the mind that was in Christ be in us also, and we do this by staying in the Word of God and by allowing the Word to be hidden in our hearts.
